Since the rounded tip does not penetrate the fibers but pushes them aside, blunt-tipped needles are particularly suited for embroidery with coarser materials such as wool.
The needles with the symmetrically punched eye are made of hardened steel and are absolutely burr-free.
For threading thicker threads or wool, the eye of the embroidery needles is correspondingly large.
The balanced ratio of length and thickness gives the needles their good durability during use.
