Our 5 mm two-way zipper with 2 metal sliders from YKK is a modern zipper for jackets and coats that gives you more room at the hem of the coat, making sitting comfortably with the zipper closed easier.
The zipper is separable and has two opposing sliders, allowing it to be closed both upwards and downwards, in both directions. However, it can only be completely separated at the bottom.
Important for a long life of this zipper is always careful handling of the two sliders: They must be aligned precisely at the bottom and pulled up slowly.
Tip: For a stuck zipper, the following household remedies can make the teeth glide again: Rubbing with soap, a candle, or with a black pencil lead.
