Our history
Arpagaus Textil was founded in 1995 by the textile teacher Helena Arpagaus. Her vision was to combine high-quality textile craftsmanship with expertise and customer-orientation. After her untimely death, Renate and René Stalder took over the company in 2005 and continued to run it with great dedication.
Growing demand led to the move to the current premises at Südstrasse 3 in 2012 - a former tennis hall that now offers over 500 m² of space for the shop, studio and exhibition.
In 2022, the management was transferred to Yves Kurfürst. Since May 2024, the company has been managed by Irene Wernli - a textile teacher with 40 years of experience and author of textile teaching materials. With her, Arpagaus Textil is returning closer to the education sector, a connection that has been part of the company's identity from the very beginning.
